What is IEEE?

The Institute of Electrical Engineers, Electronic Systems and Related Careers, which in English corresponds to the IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers , is a professional technical organization non-profit composed of professionals, technicians and technologists of new technologies. To obtain membership in IEEE, it is becoming part of a world leading company in areas such as telecommunications, aerospace systems, computers, bioengineering, among others.

IEEE Colombia Section is part of IEEE Region 9, which corresponds to Latin America and the Caribbean. Colombia section turned 52 years of activities and has 44 student branches at present.

A Student Branch is a group formed to IEEE officially World belong to her undergraduate and graduate students from different areas above a certain university, with the goal of permanent technical update professional, research, development, innovation, progress and implementation new technologies.

The IEEE Student Branch CUC is formed by a group of youths from the Faculty of Engineering of the University Corporation for the Coast - CUC whose purpose is to encourage and promote research, developing the interest of future engineers in the pursuit of technological advances that benefit humanity.

MISSION

The Student Branch IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) of the Corporación Universitaria de la Costa - CUC is a non-profit organization formed by a group of youths from the Faculty of Engineering whose purpose is to encourage and promote research, developing the interest of future engineers in the pursuit of technological advances that benefit humanity. For this, we make research groups, among other activities within the organization, which helps its members to train as people of integrity who can work together and deal with different circumstances that in the future as engineers enabling them to work in the workplace.
